Staff

The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly and emphasis is on student involvement and experience in the working of the practice. The practice is busy and varied, covering mainly the local area of Lochee, but does stretch to include Inchture, Auchterhouse, Monikie and Monifieth. Both staff and patients are welcoming and accommodating to students, allowing a good, rounded learning experience.

We append a programme of "events" which will be organised for the duration of your attachment to the practice and we hope that you will derive much benefit from experiencing first hand, the varied facets of life in general practice.

On arrival, please report to the practice manager who will introduce you to the staff, familiarise you with the premises and provide coffee!

Please let us know if you are going to be late or are unable to attend on any given day, thank you.

Your timetable will be arranged during your attachment to the practice to allow you time with the following groups of staff:
District Nurses
Health Visitors
Practice Nurses
Practice Manager
Office Staff
Chemist
Osteopath
Funeral Director
Ambulance Service

Also, student-only consultations with patients, and the use of the practice library for critical reading and projects.
